A Community Helps Burmese Refugees Learn English
Many immigrants participate in English language classes in addition to work in order to succeed in America. Most public school districts offer adult English as a Second Language programs for students as well as their parents. Yet, it isn’t easy for adults to work, be parents, and go to evening classes to learn English. While many immigrants do go to school to improve their English skills, many immigrants are very busy working 1, 2, or 3 jobs and taking care of their families, and do not have a chance to improve their English skills in school. As an Adult English as a Second Language teacher, MaestroSersea, founder of English Online Academy, has taught Beginning Level English to immigrants who have lived in the United States of America for 10, 15, 25, and even 30 years. If you were to move to the USA, would you take free evening English courses to improve your skills? Share your answers with us.
